Style Overview
Features ten locking blades and a total of 18 tools. When introduced this was the biggest and strongest multi-purpose tool in the Leatherman collection. Launched 1994 and retired 2001. This is a vintage item. It has been thoroughly checked and found to be in good working order but may feature wear and marks in line with its age. Occasionally vintage pieces are marked with the name of the original owner or company. About Leatherman
Oregon native Tim Leatherman conceived the multi tool during a budget trip to Europe in 1975. Using a scout knife for everything from slicing bread to fixing the car he realised the need for a pliers based multi purpose tool. Three years prototyping eventually secured a patent. Then, after numerous unsuccessful attempts to sell the idea he partnered with college friend Steve Berliner to launch the first Leatherman PST in 1983.
